MediateWise
MediateWise strives to give students a chance to learn and develop their skills in mediation in a realistic situation, acting as both counsel and as a mediator. Colleagues and fellow mediators can also come together to share ideas and developments in the field to further the progress of mediation and ADR.

Mahak Rathee
Mahak Rathee is currently practicing as an advocate before Delhi High Court. She is a certified mediator with Phoenix Dispute Solutions, UK and is also the torchbearer of Mediation Wing-North India of ADR Bar. She is also the founder of ADR HOC, an initiative to promote ADR as a means of dispute resolution. She is also Global Representative of Roya Institute of Global Justice, New York. She has delivered various guest lectures in different colleges across the country.
James Lawrence
James Lawrence is the Executive Director of the Blakely Advocacy Institute at the University of Houston Law Center (Texas, US). He currently teaches Advocacy Survey and Legal Negotiations for the Law Center and teaches various courses across the United States for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He is a mediator and mediates both domestically and internationally.

Ethelwald Olimpio Mendes

Ethelwald is a practicing advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa from January 1987. He has practiced in Writ jurisdiction, Tribunals including Industrial & CAT: Arbitration & Admiralty & Maritime Jurisdiction, DRT & DRAT, Customs & Excise and also in advisory, transactional, non-litigation as well as litigation matters; International Arbitrations before ICC Paris, CIETAC Beijing, SIAC Singapore, ICA New Delhi, HKIAC Hong Kong, etc.. Has been invited to sit on the High Court Tribunals for ‘Lok Adalats’ a court annexed Alternative Dispute Resolution processes
He has been JUDGE/Mediator for (ICC) International Chamber of Commerce, International Mediation Moot Competition in Paris continuously from 2010 till 2023. Arbitrator for the (IMLAM) Murdoc International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot 2012 till 2019.
Arbitrator/Judge for the Williem Vis (east) International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong in 2013 till 2023; Judge and Mediator at the ‘Lex Infinitum’ International Mediation and Negotiation competitions Goa India; Judge at the INADR negotiation and mediation Competition in Bhopal India,; Judge at the Maritime Arbitration Competition in Cochin, India.
Speaking assignments on IPR, Mediation, Arbitration, Legal Audits and Civil Laws relating to Trade and Commerce for various Chambers of Commerce, Trade Bodies and Organizations as well as Bar associations including UIA. Head of “Oasis Knowledge Tree” a mediation/arbitration advocacy training program. He worked in Mormugao Port Trust for five years, resigned to commence independent practice of law; was the Vice President of the Goa Port & Dock Employees Union. He has been recently appointed on the International Advisory Committee of THAC, Thailand dispute centre.
